durning monster man's training one day he took on the goron muscle challenge and at the end of the challenge he had to venture down into the volcano of Death Mountain and the legend was to grab the volcano gem that resides in the bottom of the volcano! the legend also says of an unknown goron who guards it. monster man braved it and managed to make it to the bottom and found the gem!...but then the goron that was told to be guarding it ambushed Monster Man, charging at him with a rolling attack. Planting his feet in the ground, he catched it and suplexed it into the ground with an earthquaking slam! one that lifted him off his feet and onto the belly of....!...a Female Goron! When Monster Man opened his eyes after landing on her belly, she introduced herself as Gi Gargan, the Volcano Goron Goddess of Death Mountain. She took him into her cave and explained that she has been the immortal guardian thanks to the gift of the Volcano Gem itself, if the Volcano Gem were to be removed from the volcano, death mountain would collapse and crumble, causing destruction to the goron life and the escaping lava would spread all over hyrule
so she's been trying to protect it all these years, much to her dismay as she wanted to live more adventure filled life and found protecting the stone tiresome and lonely after hundreds of years
Monster Man obliged by keeping her company for now and eventually found a very powerful spell that he was able to cast onto the volcano gem that sealed it to the volcano for good and would be forever bound to death mountain!
overjoyed! she demanded a feast! of rocks, ore and even her favorite, Stone Sirloin!
Monster man politely obliged although he couldn't eat a single stone since he wasn't a goron, which Gi Gargan understood and asked to just have a little party with her instead
Monster Man agreed and decided to have some fun and build her up to a goddess instead of being proclaimed to be one ~
after watcing her create pure stone from the lava of death mountain, he used his monster powers to make even more himself!
using his new ability to make stone food he made an endless buffet of rocks for Gi Gargan, she could not stop eating! she just kept eating all the rocks he prepared for her!..and she began to grow!...and grow and grow!
the power of the volcano gem from the lava made into the rock sirloins and such made her grow exponentially!!
she burst out of the side of the mountain and just kept on growing!
until at last she towered over death mountain, gorons and most hylians noticing and gasped in awe and horror!
after a quick talk from Monster man and Gi Gargan, the land was relieved to know she was still benevolent with her newfound size
Gi Gargan expressed her gratitude and newfound affection~
